Can i take a small aerosol can on a flight?

Im traveling from NZ to Australia and i wanna take deodorant but its a mini aerosol can, should i take it in my hand luggage, or my luggage along with clothes etc, or can i not take it at all? Would really appreciate your help!

It will be fine in your checked luggage irrespective how small or large it is. To take as carry on it must be less than 100ml capacity and placed in a 20cm x 20cm transparent, resealable plastic bag along with any other liquids or gels you want to take on board. The maximum container size for any liquid or gel is 100ml. (Note it is container size not the contents, you cannot take a 500ml container with 100ml contents). Each passenger is allowed one bag only.
